Williams Door Co has been doing maintenance and repairs on my garage door for years. In fact, the garage door came new from Williams when the house was built. I can always count on great, reasonably priced, and prompt service from this company. The technicians are well trained and knowledgeable and go above and beyond to make the door work as good as if new when an issue arises. I highly recommend Williams Door Company and especially Steven, the tech who fixed my door today!

I do not typically post reviews, but I feel like this is appropriate. We, as a General Contractor in Knoxville, have done business with Williams Door Company many times over the years, and I am very disappointed with the way they handled a recent project. We ordered two custom Mahogany garage doors for a project and a smaller side door which was metal. We paid $32,631. We were not told that the motors for the openers were going to be different from the typical opener system and wired the garage for the standard opener; no electrical diagram was, or ever has been, given. When the doors were installed, we had to cut sheetrock and fix the unprofessional (and unsightly) wiring, and the installers damaged custom trim around the doors, which also had to be replaced. We did so without complaint. Also, the doors were not installed with all of the hinges required and light kits were not installed. We called and asked for the issues to be resolved. After several weeks, these items were eventually corrected. Again, we did not complain. One of the garage door motors failed, and we requested a service call. After several weeks (again), the technician came to assess and then came back at a later date to install the new motor. At that time, the installer informed us that he had never worked on that type of motor before, and he was learning, as well. The client/homeowner asked the technician to assist in programming the remote-control devices and he took a few minutes to help. He then told the homeowner to call the office and provide a credit card to pay for the service call to program said remotes, without prior advice of this charge. The client called me and I told her that I would talk to the company, but would pay the service charge myself ($32k for doors and we're being charged a $180 fee to program remotes that should have already been done). I spoke to an employee at Willimas Door and told them of the issues with the project and that I was surprised that they would charge a service fee and that if they insisted on charging the fee, I was not going to ask the client to pay it. I was told that the owner of Williams Door insisted I be billed for the service charge which included a fuel surcharge even through the technician was already onsite numerous times. I received the invoice today and am sending payment, as promised. I believe other contractors and consumers should know this story so they can consider our experience before working with this company.

Thank you Williams Door Co for taking care of our garage door needs at Sweetwater Valley Collision. I called Carey for a service request and he had a technician at our facility the next morning. We appreciate the great, quick service. Highly recommend!

My garage door motor blew a capacitor on Tuesday. I had never used Williams before but they had serviced the motor for a prior owner of my home. I called and the service scheduler was able to diagnose the exact problem over the phone. The tech came the next day, had it repaired in 10 minutes, and explained to me how to prevent the problem in the future.
