To give you a sense of just how bad this place is: last year, our garage door stopped working. I figured out which piece had broken, and sent a video of it to the person who booked our service call so the technician could arrive prepared with the correct part.Well, guess what? When the technician arrived, he hadn’t been sent the video, and thus wasn’t prepared to make the repair. Further, he told me he “wasn’t even sure they made that part anymore.” A few days later, he told me the only option was to replace the whole rail system for at least $800.It was at that point that I googled the broken part myself and discovered that, in fact, it is VERY MUCH still being made, and can be purchased online for $39. At this point, I called a different garage door company and told them about this saga. The person on the other line started laughing, and told me that what I needed was an extremely common part that their company stocks on all of their trucks. Needless to say, I had this other company do the repair for a very reasonable amount.It seems Overhead Door has completely ruined their once good reputation by pulling scams like this, and I’d recommend avoiding them at all costs.

Great experience! Someone threw a breaker which caused the motor to reset itself to factory settings...The technician showed my husband how to fix it. Not a cheap visit, but way more affordable than the estimate give to us by someone we called earlier (from a sponsored ad on google) who said the motor was ancient (its not lol) and who wanted to replace the entire system for hundreds of dollars. So, thank you, Vernon and folks at Overhead Door Co. for fast, fair work and good value.

My lovely girlfriend accidentally backed into our garage door. I gave overhead Portsmouth a call and Brian was so responsive and quick with all the help. It was two days after we figured out the best course of action that the work started and finished. I would 10/10 recommend Brian and overhead Portsmouth!!

I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but in this case I feel it is warranted. We requested service to repair a few of our commercial overhead doors. We have used overhead Door in the past for all of our overhead Door services.Someone came out looked at the doors and gave us a quote. We confirmed with Paul that we wanted to move a head and they told us they would come Monday to repair the doors. Monday came and went and we reached out and they told us it would be the following Monday. No one showed up again, so I called again. They told us they could not service our location and would not be coming. This would have been nice to know two weeks ago instead of wasting our time. Now We have to wait another week for someone else to come out and repair the doors.I would recommend calling anyone one else if you need service.

Our garage door wouldn't open and I could see the spring was broken. I called overhead at 210 West Rd #4 in Portsmouth NH and they said someone would come out to look at it the next day. Someone did show up (but he said he was going to quit) and he said someone would have to see if they had the part and left. I called the office and the rudest lady answered the phone and said that the part would be ordered and it would be 3 months or more to get it fixed. I told her to not bother and I would find someone else. I had another company come out and they replaced the spring and all was good. Today, months later (the bill says the sold date was 5/24/2023) I received a bill for $128.00 plus interest $9.46!!??? I have no clue what for ??? They did NOTHING for us!!! I was never told there was a charge to be talked to on the phone in such a rude manner! I do not plan to pay this bogus bill and will contest it. Stay away from them.
