I just had the most traumatizing experience buying a phone from Best Buy. I purchased a refurbished iPhone 13 Pro Max from Best Buy’s Marketplace - the phone was fine, but it had defective speakers, so I returned it in pristine condition (with video proof) using their prepaid label. When contacting the seller for updates, they told me on they would let me know when the refund was issued. However, almost 3 weeks after they received my phone, they claimed the phone was "heavily damaged" and refused to refund me. They then sent the damaged phone back without consulting me!?Best Buy, as the marketplace host, was no help. Even though I purchased the device trusting in Best Buy's policies, they only forwarded my complaint to the seller and refused to take responsibility. The seller takes forever to respond, and they just repeat the same thing every time, which I already told BB about. This experience shows how unsafe it is to buy from Best Buy’s marketplace—there’s no buyer protection if a seller denies a legitimate return. Avoid Best Buy and most importantly their third-party sellers at all costs.

I’ve placed several orders through Best Buy over the years, and they always impressed me with their fast delivery and excellent service. However, my recent experience has been a complete disappointment. Despite waiting for over two weeks, my order has not been delivered, even though the full amount has been charged to my card.I’ve contacted their customer service multiple times, and each time I’m told to wait another 5-7 business days, as if I’m starting a new complaint. It’s clear that Best Buy no longer prioritizes customer care. They haven’t provided any resolution or refunded my money after repeated follow-ups.The decline in their service quality is evident, and I can no longer recommend Best Buy to anyone who values reliable service. If you don’t want to face similar issues, I strongly advise against shopping with them.

Would prefer to leave no stars for this once terrific company. I lived in the U.S. for 38 years before moving back to Canada. During that time every E goods product I bought was from them. The last time I bought from Best Buy in the U.S. was 2021. It was still a good store to deal with. Have never been happy with my local Best Buy here in Surrey, BC but today was the last straw. I will never buy from them again. I prefer to shop in a store so I can see the product before buying it. For the most part this is not an option with Best Buy any longer. I went in to buy a portable scanner. They had none in the store and I was told to order online. I don't want to do that since if I don't like it I now have to come back to the store to return it. The clerks informed me that any order would come from a 3rd party provider. When I asked if that meant it would be shipped from the manufacturer they said no, it could be from anyone. Basically Best Buy is now Etsy. I can buy the exact same scanner at Staples for the same price that Best Buy offered online and they have them in stock. I tried to call the store but calls are directed to a customer service group. When I told them I wanted to talk to my local store she apologized and said we don't have that information and if you did call them directly the call would be re routed to customer service as the store doesn't take calls. Really!!! Staples is closer to my home so guess its a win and Best Buys loss. What's really sad is the lousy reviews I read for the Canadian company are now the same for the U.S. company. The company is closing stores and laying off employees which is not surprising.

Horrible Experience – Avoid Best Buy and Electro Emporium at All Costs!I ordered a laptop from Best Buy online through Electro Emporium, and it has been nothing short of a disaster! I never received my laptop, and customer service has been completely useless. Instead of providing any real help, I’ve been stuck dealing with automated responses from a bot that can’t do anything but repeat generic messages.I reached out multiple times to Best Buy, expecting assistance, but all I got was a runaround. They seem more interested in passing the buck to Electro Emporium than actually resolving the issue. Clearly, they don’t care about their customers once they have your money.If you value your time and sanity, do NOT trust Best Buy or Electro Emporium. I’ve been left with no laptop, no answers, and an overwhelming sense of frustration. I will never shop here again and would advise others to stay far away.

If I could give zero reviews I would. Best Buy needs to stop using incompetent 3rd part sellers. VGI was not mentioned when I ordered the item. I thought I was buying from Best Buy as this is listed on Best Buy site.Seller refused the return even though the box was severely damaged and re-taped and product was shabby - I suspect it's not a real cuisineart but a knock-off. Very unhappy
